<p>A method for dynamically adjusting a frame rate of a display (108,114;208;302) by an image rendering unit (110) in a device (102;200;300), the device comprising the image rendering unit for communication with the display, the method being characterised by:
receiving, from the display, information regarding dynamic frame rate capabilities (308) of the display (108,114;208;302);
determining an image frame rate of content to be provided to the display (108,114;208;302) based on a rate at which a content source provides frames; and
providing the content to the display (108,114;208;302) at an updated frame rate based on the image frame rate and the dynamic frame rate capabilities (308) of the display.</p> |
