An installation structure of a hold down spring for a drum brake is provided to insert a coil type hold down spring and a spring plate into a supporting pin in order to support the hold down spring and the spring plate stably by an extended wing portion of the supporting pin. An installation structure of a hold down spring for a drum brake comprises: a coil type hold down spring(10) and a spring plate(31) to prevent a brake shoe(20) from becoming loose; and a supporting pin(32) to support the coil type hold down spring and the spring plate. The spring plate has a supporting pin drawing hole. An extended wing portion(32a) is located on the end of the supporting pin. The diameter of the supporting pin without the extended wing portion is larger than the supporting pin drawing hole.
