Key with retractable insert

The key (1) has an articulation unit (8) to articulate an insert support (5) relative to a case (3) for allowing displacement of the support between a retracted rest position and a deployed utilization position. An insert (7) is extended into a housing of the case when the support is in the rest position. The unit has an oblong opening (9) formed in the support, and a pivoting axle (11) received in the opening to allow a combined translational and rotational movement of the support and guiding of the support during the displacement of the support between the rest and utilization positions.
