METHOD FOR ADJUSTING POSITON OF CENTER OF GRAVITY OF TOP SIDE STRUCTURE OF FIXED MARINE STRUCTURE

A method is provided to adjust the center-of-gravity position of an upper structure in a fixed marine structure without delaying procedures by placing a weight material in the upper structure. A method for adjusting the center-of-gravity position of an upper structure in a fixed marine structure includes a step of filling a weight material such as slug, concrete or water in a hollow column of the upper structure(2). In case of water, the column is equipped with a water inlet and a drain valve. Water is injected in the column to adjust the center-of-gravity of the upper structure and drained after installing the upper structure in a jacket(1) fixed on the seafloor. The weight increase due to the weight is absorbed through the strength of the jacket, which is designed in consideration of the weight.
