摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is necessary to judge whether or not an accurate probability test is executable within an allowable time range since such circumstances that the accurate probability test using a contingency table is repeatedly performed occur in a field such as genome information processing, and that it is necessary to judge whether or not it is possible to enumerate all contingency tables satisfying peripheral distribution, or whether or not it is possible to efficiently count up the total number for this purpose. <P>SOLUTION: Geometrical points of view and combinatorial ideas are introduced in order to calculate the total number of 2×n type contingency tables, and a calculation method based on not only the addition of the numbers of cases but also multiplication using general dimensional triangular number is adapted.
