<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drunken driving preventing device for a vehicle capable of allowing only a non-drinking driver to drive the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The drunken driving preventing device 1 for the vehicle is provided with a drinking determination means 15 for determining if a driver is drunken or not, and a drive prohibiting means 16 for prohibiting to drive the vehicle 2 when the driver is determined to be drunken. The drunken driving preventing device 1 is provided with an imaging means 5 for picking up an image of a driver's face, a driving intention assumption means 13 for assuming if the driver intends to drive or not, and a person identification means 14 for determining if a person of the image of the face during determination by the drinking determination means 15 is the same person or not of the image of the face when the driving intention assumption means 13 assumes that the driver intends to drive by comparing the images of the faces.
