PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to set up on/off of a call waiting function in an IP telephone equipped with an individual call key and a function key to which the call waiting function can be assigned, and also having a function to transfer an individual call to the function key to which the call waiting function is assigned when there is an individual call during speech communication. SOLUTION: An engineering work company assigns the call waiting function to the F4 key which is a function key, and sets up on/off of the call waiting function, and then these information is stored in a storage device inside an IP telephone 20. The user can change the on/off setting of the call waiting function assigned to the F4 key by pressing the F4 key and can rewrite the content stored in the storage device.
