PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external device of a portable wireless apparatus for attaching an antenna to an external device without any hindrance and moreover providing a high level transmitting output. SOLUTION: The external device 2 connected to the portable wireless apparatus body 1 using a cable 3 is provided with a transmitting antenna 6 and a power module 8 for supplying electrical power to the transmitting antenna. The external device is provided with a speaker and a microphone 5 and is attached to a head supporting part for supporting members at the head part with the external device and antenna fixed to the head part with an elastic force. Since the antenna is directly attached to the head supporting part, the antenna can be provided in the optimum attitude only by setting the head part in the perpendicular state.
