FLOWER COATED WITH PARAFFIN WAX AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the use of a flower without irrigation and the use of a water-retaining device. SOLUTION: The whole surface of a flower including the cut end is covered with a coating film of paraffin wax separated and purified from a distillate of vacuum distillation and comprising a mixture of (A) wax composed mainly of normal paraffins having a melting point of≤50°C and (B) wax composed mainly of isoparaffins having a melting point of≤50°C. Water is retained in the flower by stopping the flow-out and loss of sap and water and the flower can be used without irrigation and the use of a water-retaining device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
