PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking tool easily and smoothly performing a marking work of a position for driving a fixing member along a peripheral edge portion of a plate without requiring inking. SOLUTION: This marking tool is used for marking a position for driving a fixing member 13 along the peripheral edge portion of the plate 12 when fixing the plate 12 to a backing material 11 by using the fixing member 13. The marking tool is constituted of a handle portion 14, a U-shaped bearing portion 16, a rotary shaft portion 17 having both ends supported by a pair of supporting arms 15a and 15b of the bearing portion 16, and a marking roller 19 mounted on the rotary shaft portion 17. The one supporting arm 15a is extended beyond a peripheral surface 19a of a marking roller 19. A space t between an inner side surface 20a of an extended portion 20 and a marking projection 18 of the marking roller 19 is set to be equal to a distance d from an end face 12a of the plate 12 to a design driving position of the fixing member 13.
