PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punch for powder molding capable of effectively discharging air existing in a space among particles when the powder particles are compressed, and to provide a manufacturing method of a powder molded body using the punch. SOLUTION: The powder molded body is molded by compressing powder particles filling in a die with a mold comprising a die having an opening on each of both ends, and upper and lower punches. The upper punch 11 used for the mold has such a shape that a corner part 15 from the side surface of the punch 11 to the compression surface is in the inner side of the extending surface of the side surface. This shape makes an air-discharging notch for discharging air existing in the space among particles when the powder particles are compressed. Accordingly when the punch is inserted in the die, it is possible to discharge air existing in the space among particles effectively and to manufacture a high density powder molded body in good productivity.
