METHOD FOR DETECTING MICROORGANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting microorganisms contained in fluid promptly and sensitively. SOLUTION: The method for detecting microorganisms includes following steps: step (1) for filtering the fluid with a filter membrane; step (2) for immersing the filter membrane in a liquid medium and cultivating the entrapped microorganisms; step (3) for concentrating the cultivated microorganisms; step (4) for extracting the DNA of the cultivated microorganisms from the concentrated culture; step (5) for performing PCR by using the extracted DNA as a template; and step (6) for detecting the obtained PCR product.
