<p>A signal transmission circuit and a memory device, wherein a signal transmission path is provided which can reduce signal loss and signal degradation with less vulnerability to the effect of disturbance and support high-speed data transfer rate. The signal transmission circuit comprises a first electro-optic converter circuit to convert a regenerated electric signal into a first optical signal, a first photo-electric converter circuit to convert the first optical signal back into the regenerated electric signal, a second electro-optic converter circuit to convert a recorded electric signal into a second optical signal, a second photo-electric converter circuit to convert the second optical signal back into the recorded electric signal, a first optical multiplexing/branching circuit to multiplex/branch the first and second optical signals, a second optical multiplexing/branching circuit to multiplex/branch the first and second optical signals, and an optical transmission medium for transmitting the first optical signal and the second optical signal both of which are multiplexed.</p> |
