<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery in which sputtered dusts are prevented from moving into an electrode body when a current collector is resistance-welded with a core in an electrode body of a sealed battery having exposed portions of a cathode core and an anode core on each of both ends and an occurrence of an internal short circuit is limited and a reliability is high. <P>SOLUTION: The seal battery is provided with an electrode body 11 having exposed portions of a plurality of cathode cores and anode cores on each of both ends and a current collector 18<SB>1</SB>and a current collector sitting component 18<SB>3</SB>resistance-welded with both sides of at least either of the plurality of the cores. On a circumference of at least either of the resistance-welded portion of the current collector 18<SB>1</SB>and the current collector sitting component 18<SB>3</SB>, there is formed a groove 23. Dusts 26 generated and sputtered during resistance-welding are arrested in the groove 23 and rarely infiltrate inside the electrode body 11n or fly outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
