<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air flowmeter to be used for appropriately flowing air necessary for an apparatus including air for batteries and combustion air without spoiling conditions which a ventilation route has. <P>SOLUTION: The air flowmeter has an anemometer 15 in a box shape at a passage center part, an upstream passage A located upstream of the anemometer 15, and a downstream passage B located downstream of the anemometer 15, and is formed so that the diameter ϕb of the downstream passage B becomes larger than the diameter ϕa of the upstream passage A.
