<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a separator for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery excellent in permeability and retainability of nonaqueous electrolyte into an electrode inside, and capable of obtaining high capacity, high energy density and excellent high-temperature charge characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The separator 3 used for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery is structured by forming a porous layer 2 composed of inorganic fine particles and a resin binder on a porous separator base material 1. The resin binder is composed of at least one kind selected from a group consisting of polyimide resin, polyamide resin and polyamideimide resin, with a content of halogen atom in a molecular chain of 10 to 30% by weight, and a resin binder content in the porous layer of not less than 5% by weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
