<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head part protection air bag device capable of suppressing a curtain air bag from being deployed to an internal upper space between a roof panel and a roof lining. <P>SOLUTION: (1) The head part protection air bag device 10 is provided with an internal deployment suppression cloth 30 for covering the curtain air bag 20 from the internal upper space 8 side between the roof panel 7 and the roof lining 3 of the vehicle. The internal deployment suppression cloth 30 has a first portion 31 fixed to a vehicle body side; and a second portion 32 having increased friction coefficient and contacted with a back surface of the roof lining. (2) A slit 33 is formed on the internal deployment suppression cloth 30, a tab 21 is penetrated through it, and the internal deployment suppression cloth 30 is fixed to the body side. (3) The internal deployment suppression cloth 30 is sewn to the curtain air bag 20 and is fixed to the body side.
