IMAGING APPARATUS, IMAGING CONTROL METHOD, AND IMAGING CONTROL PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete exposure in a time equal to that in a normal photographic mode by a wide-area monitor camera system used in a synthesis photographic mode of a wide-dynamic-range camera without corrections made in a backlight state when a subject area changes to a non-backlight area from a state wherein exposure is completed in a backlight state.

SOLUTION: A long-time-exposure image signal with a relatively long exposure time and a short-time-exposure image signal with a relatively short exposure time which are obtained by an imaging element section 2 outputting the long-time-exposure image signal and short-time-exposure signal as an imaged image signal generated from incident light from a subject are synthesized by a signal processing section 4 to generate a synthesized image signal having a relatively wider dynamic range than one of the long-time-exposure image signal and short-time-exposure signal. A control section 9 initializes a correction value to be used for exposure correction of the imaging element section 2 during scene change using a luminance integrated value with respect to the synthesized image signal generated by a detection section 6 to perform exposure correction control over the imaging element section 2.
