<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system or the like capable of improving a transfer speed during data transmission and reception in a network. <P>SOLUTION: An information processor receives an indication about a printer selection (S101), and a negotiation is started by selected power line communication (S102). After the negotiation is completed (S103), the data transmission and reception is started by a selected data communication line (S104). When the negotiation is completed (S105), a processing is finished. When the negotiation is timed out, an automatic switching is judged (S106), and the negotiation is started by the data communication line or a notice to a user is conducted (S107). If the negotiation is not completed, an error is notified and a log is stored (S110 and 111). When the data transmission and reception is timed out, the data transmission and reception is started by the power line communication (S114) after the automatic switching is judged (S112).
