<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of preventing a user from having unpleasant feeling caused by the lowering of a room temperature caused by a deicing operation when the user enters a room. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner controls operation by detecting the presence or absence of a person by a human body detection sensor provided in an indoor unit. During a heating operation, when the human body detection sensor detects a change of a state that the person is absent to a state that the person exists, deicing control is not performed for a predetermined time.
