<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PTO assembly, directly driven by output of an engine regardless of an operational status of a transmission, and utilizing a transmission case constituted of a component commonly used when an automobile has an optional PTO and the automobile does not incorporates the PTO. <P>SOLUTION: The power take-off assembly for transmitting rotary power from a power train of an automobile, comprises: a torque converter 10 including an impeller shaft 16 connected to a power source (engine) 70 to be capable of being driven by the engine; a housing 56 having an opening 50; and a power take-off gear 32 fixed to the impeller shaft 16, placed to correspond to the opening 50 in the housing 56, and supported to be rotatable around a shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
