<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift actuator for enhancing maintainability, while restraining an outward projection quantity from a crankcase, by enhancing a degree of freedom on a layout of a functional part arranged around the crankcase, in a power unit for a saddle-ride type vehicle for arranging the shift actuator for controlling driving of shift operation of a shift mechanism in an engine body, by storing the shift mechanism arranged in a power transmission passage between a crankshaft and a driving wheel in the crankcase. <P>SOLUTION: This shift actuator 181 is installed on a side surface of the crankcase 35 by arranging its operational axis in a plane orthogonal to the axial direction of the shift mechanism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
