PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal and a smell authentication system, wherein authentication is performed without inputting a secret code number, and wherein prescribed processing is executed by the authentication. SOLUTION: This mobile terminal adopts a means having: a smell sensor detecting a smell, and outputting a smell detection signal based on the detected smell; a storage part storing smell information for the authentication; and a control part executing the prescribed processing when the smell detection signal accords with the smell information for the authentication.
