PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television with a playback terminal connection function capable of utilizing a display screen and speakers effectively. SOLUTION: In a media player mode α, a signal adjustment circuit 17a in a docking unit 17 is allowed to function, video and sound signals input via a connection terminal 17d are adjusted by the signal adjustment circuit 17a, and processing for outputting to a tuner 12 is performed. By changing a switching circuit 22, the sound and video signals input from the signal adjustment circuit 17a can be input to a video processing circuit 13 and a sound processing circuit 14. In a media player mode β, the switching circuit 22 is changed so that only the sound signal input from the signal adjustment circuit 17a is input to the sound processing circuit 14 and the video signal is input to the video processing circuit 13 from a microcomputer 11.
