PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly protect a battery pack against overdischarge and overcurrent to enhance convenience even if the battery pack is connected to an electric apparatus with different load characteristics, in a charging type electric apparatus with a battery pack. SOLUTION: The charging type electric apparatus 1 includes the battery pack 2 having a secondary battery and an apparatus body 3 to be connected to the battery pack 2. The battery pack 2 includes a charging switch 21 and a discharging switch 22 for interrupting or connecting a charging route and a discharging route, an ammeter 23 for measuring charge current and discharge current, a voltmeter 24 for measuring the voltage of the secondary battery, and a control unit 25 for controlling switches by comparing the measured current value or the measured voltage value with a current reference value or a voltage reference value. The control unit 25 dynamically changes the current reference value or the voltage reference value based on the load information from the apparatus body 3 to properly protect the battery pack 2 against the overdischarge and overcurrent, even if the battery pack 2 is connected to the electric apparatus body 3 with different load characteristics.
