PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the security of data provided to an application in an electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: An IP server W transmits e-mail to a mobile unit MS. In the electronic mail, a start instruction tag instructing the start of a Java application and a transfer instruction tag for providing data are described. The mobile unit MS compares a transmission source address of the e-mail with permission information described in ADF of the Java application indicated by the e-mail. The permission information is the transmission source address of e-mail permitting start to the Java application, provision of data, or the like. The mobile unit MS starts the Java application in accordance with the start instruction tab described in the e-mail only when the comparison result is coincident, and transfers the data designated by the transfer instruction tab to the Java application.
