PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooking apparatus capable of easily increasing the sweet taste of a cooking material. SOLUTION: This heating cooking apparatus comprises a heating chamber 5 which is formed in an outer box and in which a cooking material is stored, and a steam generator 40 for supplying steam into the heating chamber 5 from the side. The steam generator 40 supplied steam into the heating chamber, maintains the inside of the heating chamber 5 in a steam temperature atmosphere, and changes a heating time according to a surface area of the cooking material.
