PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple waterproof structure of a fireproof box for a hot-water supply device, capable of improving the waterproofness of the periphery of a fireproof box fitted to an outer wall, by a simple structure of a conventional fireproof box without applying a special improvement to the fireproof box. SOLUTION: This simple waterproof structure of a fireproof box 10 for a hot-water supply device fitted into a mounting opening 11a of the outer wall 11 is formed between the fireproof box and the under-wall ground 15. In the structure, the outer peripheral surface of a box 13 formed of sheet metal 12 is covered by a fireproof board 14. The structure has a shape of an hexahedron with an opening surface 10a. A synthetic resin waterproof sheet 16 formed in a band shape has a portion 16a at one side edge side and a portion 16b at the other side edge side. The portion 16a is held between the end 12c of the sheet metal 12 formed by bending the peripheral edge of the opening surface 10a and the outer peripheral surface of the fireproof board 14. The portion 16b is joined to the edge 17a of a wall surface waterproof sheet 17 covering the under-wall ground 15. Consequently, water is prevented from intruding through the gap 18 between the outer peripheral surface of the fireproof box 10 to a hot-water supply device and the opening edge at the under-wall ground 15.
