PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas spring type balancer provided with an adjustment mechanism with a simple composition capable of easily adjusting a height position of a suspended object. SOLUTION: The balancer 10 used for suspending an object connected to a suspending part of a suspending means is provided with a gas spring 11 filled with compressed gas, a first member 31 connected to the suspending part of the suspending means, a second member 32 connected to the first member 31 via the gas spring, connected to the suspended object, and facing the first member 31 via a variable space 40 enlarging as weight of the suspended object is increased, a hydraulic cylinder 46 arranged in the variable space 40 and operably connected to the first and second members, and the adjustment mechanism 45 provided with a pump mechanism adjusting an oil pressure of the hydraulic cylinder 46. It is composed such that the height position of the suspended object can be adjusted by adjusting the oil pressure of the hydraulic cylinder 46 by the pump mechanism 50. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
