PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for sterilization by ultraviolet irradiation and ozone saving working time. SOLUTION: In a body 4 containing a sterilization subject, a sterilization lamp 14 for irradiating ultraviolet ray with the wavelength having sterilization function and an ozone lamp 16 for irradiating ultraviolet ray with the wavelength having ozone generating function in addition to the wavelength having the sterilization function are respectively mounted on the front and back surfaces of the sterilization subject, and the sterilization lamp 14 and the ozone lamp 16 are lit together to keep the sterilization subject sterilized by the ozone and the active oxygen generated from the ozone. It is configured to irradiate the area, where the ultraviolet ray of the sterilization lamp 14 cannot reach, with the ultraviolet ray of the ozone lamp 16, sterilizing by the ultraviolet irradiation in parallel.
