PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely easily and detachably retain a threading tool on a rod tip protecting cover member or a butt cap. SOLUTION: The cylindrical body means a rod tip protecting cover member for protecting a rod tip part, when stored in a joint-type fishing rod or a butt cap for a fishing rod. The cylindrical body is equipped with its cylindrical body 10H, having a head part 10T and an open-end part and a retention member 12 which is movable in the cylindrical body in the length direction, the head part has a shape for preventing the retention member from dropping from the head part to the outside, and the retention member is constituted to have a retention part 12H for holding the end part of the threading tool 20.
