The outer ring (2) of the roller (4) bearing (1) is secured by a locking tab (6), to a component in which the outer ring is seated. The locking tab is detachably fastened to the component. In novel design, the outer ring of the roller bearing includes a face groove (5) engaged by the locking tab. The locking projection is a flat metal sheet tab. The tab has a rectangular longitudinal- and transverse cross section. On the component, a milled slot corresponds with the face groove.
