The holder has a casing (40) for attachment in a shaft in a self-centered manner and comprising a metallic sleeve (42) and a plastic sleeve (41) that positively surrounds the metallic sleeve in firm anchorage. The metallic sleeve has a geometrically shaped part, with which the metallic sleeve is fixed in center in the plastic sleeve or in an injection tool during attachment of the plastic sleeve. Geometrically shaped parts are provided with recesses in the metallic sleeve, and consist of bars bent radially or tangentially from a plane of the metallic sleeve. An independent claim is also included for a method for attachment of a sensor holder.
