AMMONIA SYNTHESIS CATALYST AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia synthesis catalyst which is chemically and thermally stable and has high ammonia synthetic activity and to provide a method for manufacturing the ammonia synthesis catalyst.

SOLUTION: When the ammonia synthesis catalyst is manufactured by using an α-alumina-containing oxide as a carrier and depositing ruthenium on the α-alumina-containing oxide, the α-alumina is obtained by subjecting an aluminum compound and a barium compound to a hydrothermal reaction by a reversed micelle method and firing the obtained compound oxide.
