<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform operation, in a mobile information terminal device, for browsing a relatively large-sized high-definition image or transmitting the image, with it attached to an electronic mail. <P>SOLUTION: A mail-relay apparatus 200 connected via a transmission line to an original image storage device 100 for storing a high-definition image holds therein a sub image, corresponding to an original image and a thumbnail image corresponding to the sub image. The storage situation is updated together with the thumbnail image, as though the storage situation of the sub image is similar to a storage status of the original image. In the mobile information terminal device 401, the thumbnail image is held as though being similar to the storage situation of the thumbnail image in the mail-relay apparatus 200. According to the identification information of the thumbnail image, an image is captured from the mail-relay apparatus 200 and is browsed on the mobile information terminal device; furthermore, only the identification information is attached to electronic mail and transmitted, and after the mail-relaying apparatus, the electronic mail is transmitted again, with the image body attached thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
