COMPOSITION FOR SEALING OPTICAL SEMICONDUCTOR AND OPTICAL SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for sealing an optical semiconductor having a high refractive index, and to provide a highly reliable optical semiconductor device using the same.

SOLUTION: The composition for sealing an optical semiconductor comprises (A) a fluorene compound having two or more alkenyl groups per molecule, (B) an organosilane or an organosiloxane oligomer which has two or more silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule and has a refractive index different from that of the component (A) by 0.10 or less, in an amount such that the number of the silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in the component (B) is 0.1-3.0 relative to one alkenyl group in the component (A), and (C) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst.
