PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet rotary electric machine for a washing machine which is applicable to high-speed rotation and has good recyclability. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet rotary electric machine has a stator on which armature windings of concentrated winding are provided so as to surround teeth in a plurality of slots formed in a stator core. Permanent magnets are inserted into a plurality of recessed portions formed on the outside circumference of a yoke core. A rotor having magnetic pole cores covering the top parts of permanent magnets is supported rotatably via a prescribed gap on the inside circumference of the stator. The magnetic pole cores, the permanent magnets, and the yoke core are molded with a synthetic resin. The magnetic pole cores are not mechanically coupled to the yoke core. The inside circumferential surface of teeth, which has a circular arc surface different from that from the rotor center, and the outside circumferential surface of the magnetic pole cores have mutually a protruding shape.
