PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structures to achieve a panel module simply and inexpensively, the module being superior in mechanical strength in spite of the increase in area. SOLUTION: In a panel module 100 constituting a display portion of a large-sized and thin image display apparatus, on a flange 111 formed along with an outer circumference of a thin plate-like frame 110 building up the panel module, a reinforcement portion 112 is formed by bending the flange into a prescribed cross-section shape through a squeezing process or by fixing pipe-like members 400 and fixing adjacent pipe-like members 400 with L-shaped members 420.
