PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the heat insulation properties of an upper part of a paper-made double-structured heat insulating container, and at the same time, to solve a problem that a cup body is separated from an outer cylinder caused by defective adhesion. SOLUTION: A heat insulating container 1 has a barrel peripheral part formed of a double structure in which a paper-made outer cylinder 3 having an inwardly curled portion 5 on its lower end is covered on the outer side of a paper-made cup body 2 having an outward curled portion 4 on its upper end. A resin foam 10 is formed in a space between the cup body 2 and the outer cylinder 3. In the resin foam 10, a foaming thermoplastic resin layer 8 formed on an inner side of the outer cylinder 3 is foamed before the outer cylinder 3 is covered on the cup body 2 or after the outer cylinder 3 is covered on the cup body 2.
