PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device mounted on the tip of an endoscope which is small and easy to assemble. SOLUTION: On an imaging device 100, a flexible circuit board 116 connected electrically to an electrode 114 of a solid imaging element 110 is so bent that it may connect to the back of the solid imaging element 110. On only one surface of the flexible circuit board 116, electronic parts 122 and 124 are mounted. The flexible circuit board 116 is bent within the projection area of the solid imaging element 110 to make the mounted surface roughly parallel to the back of the solid imaging element 110.
