Even when an electric service is interrupted while recording onto a recording medium, frame image data received via a network and incomplete frame image data is recorded, it is possible to prevent image disturbance which may be caused by reproduction of the incomplete frame image data. A video recording device includes: reception means (1001) which receives management information added to each of data; first recording means (1003) which records received video data onto a recording medium (1010); and second recording means (1004) which records position information on the video data onto the recording medium. By referencing the file length of a video data file (1005) and a position information file (1006), it is possible to rapidly identify a damaged data position.
