NOVEL LEUCONOSTOC MESENTEROIDE FROM KIMCHI WITH INHIBITING ACTIVITIES ON PATHOGENIC MICROORGANISM AND USE THEREOF

A leuconostoc mesenteroide separated from kimchi inhibiting activities on pathogenic microorganism is provided to ensure excellent acid resistance, salt tolerance, bile tolerance and antibiotic resistance and to be used as probiotics, microorganism composition, feed, pharmaceutical composition and fermented food. A leuconostoc mesenteroide DSR 910(KFCC-11394P) separated from kimchi suppresses activities on pathogenic bacteria and has acid resistance in pH 2.5-5, salt tolerance in NaCl 2-15%, and bile tolerance and antibiotic resistance in Oxgall 0.3-3%. A composition for probiotics, microorganism compositions, feed, and food additives comprises leuconostoc mesenteroide DSR 910(KFCC-11394P) or its culture material. A composition for treating or preventing the infection of the pathogenic bacteria comprises leuconostoc mesenteroide DSR 910(KFCC-11394P) or its culture material.
