<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size in the width direction of a card connector while performing grounding of a cover. <P>SOLUTION: A card connector 1 includes a housing 2, which is provided with each contact 204b connected with a card, and a cover 3 rotatably mounted to the housing 2. The housing 2 includes each protruding wall 205a, 205b that is provided at a position corresponding to each recessed part, formed in the card, and respectively has a grounding piece 206a, 206b oppositely contacting with the cover 3 and formed on its surface. The cover 3 has elastic contact pieces 307a, 307b contacting with the grounding pieces 206a, 206b. When the cover 3 is rotated and moved to a prescribed position, the cover brings the elastic contact pieces 307a, 307b into contact with the grounding pieces 206a, 206b, respectively, while pressing the card so as to be connected with each contact 204b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
