<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module of high shielding effect and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: This optical module is provided with a mounting substrate having a wiring part on a surface, an optical device having an optical element, and an element mounting part including a connection terminal part curved including a portion horizontal to the surface of the mounting substrate and for mounting the optical element, and a case member for holding the optical device in an optical device holding part for holding the optical device, a parallel portion of a connection terminal is connected to the wiring part via a connection member, and one part of the case member is connected to the mounting substrate via the connection member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
