摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method of manufacturing oxide-coated soft magnetic powder, which can manufacture at low cost the oxide-coated soft material powder which has a surface coated with oxide with high insulating property and is, for example, small in eddy current loss for a long period and usable to manufacture a dust core with high magnetic permeability; oxide-coated soft magnetic powder manufactured by the same manufacturing method; the dust core manufactured using the powder and having high magnetic permeability and superior durability; and a magnetic element with high performance including the dust core. SOLUTION: A choke coil 10 has the dust core 11 and a conductor 12. The dust core 11 is obtained by mixing, compressing, and forming the oxide-coated soft magnetic powder and a bonding material. The oxide-coated soft magnetic powder is manufactured by oxidizing a surface of a molten metal of a soft magnetic material consisting principally of Fe made into powder by an atomizing method in an atmosphere containing vapor by≥10 g/m<SP>3</SP>while the molten metal is set at a high temperature which is≥200°C above the fusion point of the soft magnetic material.
