PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit sounds together only with image selection even if images and sounds are in different files. SOLUTION: An infrared communication circuit of a digital camera is connected with a television that is an external device (S1). After connection completion, a user is caused to select an image to be transmitted to the television (S2). A CPU of the digital camera retrieves a sound related to the selected image from a memory card (S3). When the sound related to the selected image is present, the infrared communication circuit transmits a set of the image and the sound to the television (S5).
