PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the production cost of a camera by simplifying a lighting device of the camera, which is capable of performing a pop-up operation and changing an irradiation angle of light. SOLUTION: A lighting device 12 capable of performing the pop-up operation is provided in a top surface part of a camera body part. The lighting device 12 includes a link mechanism 21 and a light emitting part 22. The link mechanism 21 includes upper and lower link levers 31 and 32 turned by driving means, and an interlocking lever 36. The light emitting part 22 includes a light emitting part cover 41 provided with a condenser lens 44, and a light source support 42 provided with a light source 47. When the driving means turn the link levers 31 and 32 in accordance with zooming of a photographic lens, the light emitting part cover 41 translates while the interlocking lever 36 pushes the light source support 42 to move the light source support 42 forward/backward with respect to the light emitting part cover 41. The distance between the light source 47 and the condenser lens 44 is changed to be able to change the irradiation angle of light. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
