PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove solid matters firmly adhering to the hanging means of a cathode in a cleaning step by electrorefining of copper, nickel, or the like. SOLUTION: The cleaning device is for carrying out cleaning of an electro-refined metal plate (1) by jetting a cleaning liquid toward the metal plate (1) from a large number of cleaning nozzles (3) arranged in a cleaning position in a transportation step of the metal plate (1) and a movable cleaning nozzle (9) for removing deposit (7) adhering to hanging means (5) made of a metal is arranged above the space wherein the hanging means 5 passes and the movable cleaning nozzle (9) is installed in a movable manner in relation to a main pipe (4) and the jetting angle of the movable cleaning nozzle (9) to the hanging means (5) is changed by jetting pressure of the washing liquid itself and the washing liquid jetted from the movable cleaning nozzle (9) is continuously jetted to the transferring hanging means (5) to remove the deposit (7) remaining in the hanging means (5).
