PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum-type washing machine allowing the accurate sensing of unbalanced laundry in a drum. SOLUTION: The drum-type washing and drying machine 1 has a control device for controlling rotation of a drum 12 and acceleration sensors 30a and 30b for sensing vibration generated in the front and rear of a water tank 9. The control device calculates difference C between amplitude A detected by the front acceleration sensor 30a and amplitude B detected by the rear acceleration sensor 30b. When it is determined that the difference C is above a predefined threshold, rotation of the drum 12 is decelerated or stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
