<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of suppressing deterioration in developer and having high mass productivity, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 10 uses two-component developer as the developer G, and includes a developing sleeve 14 and a doctor blade 16. The developing sleeve 14 conveys the developer G to a developing area A opposed to a photoreceptor drum 2. The doctor blade 16 includes a plate-like magnetic blade 161, and is arranged so that the edge part of the magnetic blade 161 may be opposed to the developing sleeve 14 through a gap upstream from the developing area A in the rotating direction of the developing sleeve 14. The magnetic blade 161 is arranged perpendicularly to a virtual surface 142 in contact with a part of a peripheral surface 141 of the developing sleeve 14 to which its edge part is opposed, and has, on the surface of the edge part opposed to the peripheral surface 141, a slope 161B forming an angle β that is ≥20° and ≤45° to the virtual surface 142 so that a gap between the peripheral surface 141 and the slope 161B may be smaller toward a downstream side in the rotating direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
